Amol Birajdar (Patil) is a seasoned entrepreneur and founder of AgriT Ventures, an agri-processing company that aims to bring affordable technology to the sector. His company's first venture is the production of natural, chemical-free jaggery from sugarcane. Amol's charter for AgriT is centered around fair trade practices that benefit farmers. He believes in paying them the right value for their products and ensuring they receive prompt payment with zero-credit terms. He also works with farmers to provide education and health-care insurance for their children, and motivates them to enroll in medical insurance schemes. Amol's passion for producing chemical-free jaggery is driven by his belief that it is a healthier alternative to white crystal sugar. Chemical clarificants used in the production of jaggery leave residues of sulfur and remove important vitamins and minerals. At AgriT, they use a unique solution made from dry stems of bhindi/ladyfinger/okra and traces of lime as clarification agents to remove impurities. Prior to founding AgriT, Amol spent over 18 years in various leadership roles at Flipkart, including as Associate Director for Business Head for Mobile Accessories Category and Head Client Services: Onboarding & Enablement. He has a B-Tech degree in engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Amol's expertise in the mobile industry and his experience in managing working capital and executing short and long-term strategies have been instrumental in his entrepreneurial journey. His passion for creating jobs in rural Maharashtra and promoting healthy living through chemical-free jaggery make him a valuable asset to the agri-processing industry.
